Thomas Moore is a licensed, clinical social worker specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy. He maintains a private practice in the Chelsea area of New York City, adjacent to the Meat Packing District.  In addition, he regularly consults with over twenty-five medical centers, non-profits and corporations on the management of employees suffering from depression, anxiety attack symptoms, stress, emotional problems and alcohol or drug impairment.

With over twenty years experience in four hospitals and two out-patient clinics, the recipient of two post-graduate certifications in psychotherapy, and currently serving as Clinical Director of a large Employee Assistance Program, Thomas Moore is well-equipped to deal with a broad spectrum of problems.  Among his areas of expertise are: couple's difficulties including anger and abuse, assertiveness at work, depression in university settings, Americans with Disabilities Act concerns, emotional problems and alcohol or drug impairment, artistic and creativity struggles, anxiety attack symptoms, alternative lifestyle issues and posttraumatic stress.

In addition, Thomas Moore is a frequent presenter to NY psychotherapists and to general audiences.  He presents in medical centers, non-profits and corporations, on topics ranging from the definition of stress and how to manage it, the impact of depression and anxiety attack symptoms on the work place, and, how to manage employees with emotional problems and alcohol or drug impairment.   

As a consultant, Thomas Moore has a particular interest in educating management staff into recognizing and accepting emotional problems which exist in the work place and implementing optimal, early treatment interventions on behalf of employees.
